By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
Informational service
Claimbrook provides general public-record information. It is not individual safety, mechanical, legal, financial, insurance, or purchasing advice. It is not an inspection and does not replace NHTSA, a manufacturer, an authorized dealer, a qualified repair professional, or a licensed adviser.
Safety and emergencies
Follow current NHTSA and manufacturer instructions for safety recalls, including any Do Not Drive or Park Outside warning. Ask an authorized dealer whether a particular vehicle is affected and whether a remedy is complete. For an emergency or immediate danger, call emergency services.
No professional or representative relationship
Using the site does not create an adviser-client, insurer-insured, agent, dealership, repair, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Claimbrook cannot bind or speak for a government agency, source, manufacturer, dealer, repairer, or insurer.
Public data and corrections
We organize data obtained from government sources. Records can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, duplicated, or labeled differently. Our matching and summaries can contain errors. We may add, correct, reorganize, or remove information. Send a correction request with the page address and reliable supporting source to .
Recall limits
A recall shown for a make, model, and year does not establish that a particular vehicle is covered, unrepaired, or safe. Potential-unit counts can include other vehicles. Confirm the full vehicle identification number through NHTSA or an authorized dealer before acting.
Complaint limits
Owner complaint reports are unverified allegations, not agency findings. Counts do not establish defect rates, future risk, legal responsibility, or vehicle condition. Crash and fire mentions can overlap. NHTSA does not use one fixed number of complaints as an automatic investigation threshold.
Rating and fuel limits
Crash-test ratings apply to tested configurations and are most meaningful within the classes NHTSA identifies. They do not measure one vehicle's current condition. Fuel-economy figures and annual-cost estimates depend on listed configurations and government assumptions; actual mileage and cost vary.
Third-party services
Links or references to other organizations are provided for context. Their sites, content, availability, security, and privacy practices are controlled by them. A reference does not imply endorsement by either party.
Ownership and permitted use
Claimbrook's original design, explanatory text, selection, and arrangement are owned by Eldhurst LLC and protected by applicable law. You may use the site for lawful personal, noncommercial purposes. Government records, names, and marks remain subject to their source terms and applicable law.
You may not interfere with the site, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, misrepresent Claimbrook content, or use automated access in a way that creates an unreasonable burden or violates law. Permission is not granted to copy the site as a competing publication or to imply affiliation or endorsement.
No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided as available, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access or that the information will meet your needs.
Limits on liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eldhurst LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and service providers will have no liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising from the site, its content, its availability, or reliance on it. This exclusion includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, and punitive damages, lost profits, and lost data.
If applicable law does not allow liability to be excluded, their total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This exclusion and fallback cap do not apply where, and only to the extent, applicable law prohibits them.
Indemnity for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse Eldhurst LLC for reasonable third-party claims, losses, and costs caused by your unlawful use of the site, malicious interference with it, or material violation of these terms. This section does not require a consumer to indemnify Claimbrook for Claimbrook's own conduct and does not waive nonwaivable consumer rights.
Massachusetts law
Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court case relating to the site must be brought in a state or federal court serving Berkshire County, Massachusetts, unless applicable consumer law gives you a different mandatory right or forum.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service or law changes. The effective date will be revised when updated terms are posted. Continued use after posting means acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms are the entire agreement about use of the site unless a separate written agreement applies.
